She reminds me of the purple crocus flowers that come up early in the spring, up in the north where I grew up. I don't think they are ready to poke their heads through the snow yet, but you certainly help me dream of their beauty...
(I still wonder how you get these young ladies in their beautiful strapless dresses... in the snow. Must be their warm hearts. )
Your oblique lighting is beautiful here, with the sun forming a halo in her hair, and throwing long shadows across the snow.
Oh, yeah. I was going to tell you I grew up in Upstate NY, so I understand cold and snow, but then I remembered you're from Canada. You guys LIVE for snow. Well, you certainly know how to take beautiful photos in it!
hehe... my wife and I just moved from NYS (Rochester) to the Atlanta area about 5 years ago. I definitely miss the look and feel of snow under my feet, but boy, my back sure appreciates not having to deal with all that lake-effect snowstorms we had, sitting just to the south of Lake Ontario.
My two brothers ( pearwood and Ken - not sure if he has a dA account) are still there in Rochester, taking lots of photos of snow and cold!
(Now we just deal with heat, mold and bugs... and southern drivers trying to negotiate ice covered roads! =8-O )
